Build the Future: Driving Innovation with Diversity

Organisations are seeing cognitive diversity as a competitive advantage. BIMA Tech Inclusion & Diversity Report 2019 reveals that companies with higher ethnic and racial diversity earn 35% more than average, while those that perform best for gender diversity are 15% more likely to outperform competitors.

More businesses name increasing diversity as one of their top priorities, and they realise that ensuring cognitive diversity in roles such as software development, cybersecurity and data analysis can enable them to digitally transform their businesses while building a more inclusive culture and retaining their top talent.

The diversity of thought - the driver of innovation - is shaped by bringing together people from different personal, professional and socio-economic backgrounds. So to avoid finding themselves with a homogeneous workforce - one that predominantly consists of ‘similar’ people - businesses need to build a truly diverse talent pipeline and build a route to boardroom for them.

This National Apprenticeship Week, join the Executive Roundtable with Euan Blair, Founder and CEO at Multiverse, to discuss challenges and best practice for building a diverse talent pipeline with the critical skills of the future.
