Millions of workers are leaving the workforce early. According to our new data, nearly two-thirds of workers (63%) have considered early retirement.

While many are retiring early in a strong financial position, some to spend time with family, others are forced to leave their jobs early because of health concerns or skills deficits. The consequences for businesses, society and individuals are severe.

In this report, we explore why workers over 50 are retiring early, and what policymakers and business leaders can do to keep them in the labour market - and convince those that have left to return.
